and I'm Back!

May 08, 2016

Warning!! Long Post Ahead. It’s been awhile since I wrote something and a lot of things happened.

First of all, I want to greet a Happy Mother’s Day to my co-workers, friends, relatives, family & Mamang (grandmother). But same as Christmas, Mothers Day celebration should not be limited today. I think we should always be thankful and grateful every day to our parents, as for me my grandmother who took care of me since birth. I may not have said it but I love you so much, and you are so dear to me.  I am not going to be who I am now if it wasn’t for you & papang (which is now in heaven. Missing you so much)

Moving on

Just like what I said in the first paragraph a lot of things happened. I am now 26 and Engaged. It has been 19 days since I got engaged and it didn’t truly hit me until I started saying “fiancé” out loud and it was just recent.

Weeks before the proposal

I knew that he was hiding something from me. We’ve been together for eight years, and we know each other too well. It started when we’ve had a conversation about a ring.  Until one day I was busy downloading TV Series on his phone and a message pop on the screen and it was from my aunt which I ignored. I told myself “I’ll read it in a while” thinking I was using my phone.  I was busy and forget about it. Later that day I remembered and grabbed my phone wondering where the message went, then it hit me that it was his phone. I was puzzled. I was asking myself “Why would my aunt send him a message?” my heart was pounding, and I was eager to know what it was. Because I was curious, I find a way to read the mysterious message. I was shocked, and my jaw dropped. I was in tears and couldn’t speak knowing that my aunt approves.

So I always knew that one day he’d pop the question. I just had no idea what to expect as far as when and how he’d do it.

He proposed to me on his birthday in Puerto Galera. It was 5 AM the sun has not risen yet; someone knocked on my door instruct me to follow the white & red rose petals.  It was dark, all I can see are candles arranged in a heart shape, and as I go near it, I can see more rose petals sounding the candles and him standing there. He started saying something. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention (I was overwhelmed, It was not only him waiting at the end. I saw my sister, Rona one of closest friends, his friends) until he got down on one knee and popped the question. I completely blacked out! And didn’t know what to say it was like a rush of heat and a wave of uncontrollable emotion swept right through my body. All I could do was explode into his arms and experience pure joy from head to toe.

It’s crazy!! I have to say being engaged now put me in a lot of pressure, but I like it. I now have to plan a wedding.
